H2V in Public Lands
The Chilean Ministry of National Assets, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, has launched a strategy to promote the production of green hydrogen on public lands. This initiative, formalized through various resolutions, aims to provide a framework for decision-making in the administration of public assets. By May 2025, a total of thirty-three projects had applied to this scheme and, to date, six have been granted concessions, while others have withdrawn, and some were still being processed. A committee, involving multiple ministries, has been established to accelerate the sustainable development of the green hydrogen industry, addressing regulatory and technical challenges to ensure the industry’s growth and contribution to carbon neutrality
