Following the low Carbon Hydrogen Supply Competition, up to £60 million will be awarded to projects that develop innovative low-carbon hydrogen supply solutions. The competition will be delivered via 2 streams: the Stream 1 will support the development of feasibility studies with TRL between 4 and 6, the Stream 2 will support demonstration of projects with TRL between 6 and 7. It is part of the government £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).
Update May22: UK gov has awarded 5 projects with £4-9 million funding and selected 23 early-stage feasibility studies to each receive £300k, for a total of £44 million. See the list of proejcts in the email "Argus UK allocates £44mn to hydrogen R&D projects".
