Additional ARENA co-funded Clean Hydrogen R&D&D Projects In addition to the above list, the Australian Government through ARENA is co-funding a suite of additional H2 focused R&D&D projects include the following – all relevant details are available via the ARENA web site pages. The following is a sample of additional ARENA co-funded projects that were started in 2023 and 2024:
- Hysata - High-Efficiency ‘Capillary-fed’ Electrolyser Pilot Project

- Barwon Region Water - Green Oxygen for Wastewater Treatment
- Accelerating the commercialisation of the direct solar-to-hydrogen technology
- Future Energy Exports - development & demonstration of hydrogen liquefaction

- Jupiter Ionics - capital cost reduction in electrochemical ammonia synthesis
- University of Wollongong - Australian Pilbara Iron Ores in an Electric Smelting Furnace Process
