Clean Energy Transition Partnership
The CETPartnership is an initiative co-funded by the European Union that issues joint calls to pool funds from participating governments and support clean energy R&D projects that have partbers from more than one participating country. European and non-European countries and regions participate. The objective is to improve coordination and raise impact of national research budgets. The initiative defines 7 transition inititatives representing different areas: energy systems (global and regional), power technologies, CCU/CCS, Heating and Cooling, Industry, Buildings. Participating governments work together to define the scope of the annual call modules, publish them and collects proposals. Funding for a given awardee is provided by the funding agency of their country or region, and complemented by funding from the equivalent bodies of their project partners from other countries. The total value of the 2025 calls was EUR 75 million, and projects receive EUR 0.5-5 million.
