SPI fund (Sociétés de Projets Industriels)

In 2022, France launched the second round of the SPI fund, allocating the equivalent of USD 1.1 billion over 5 years to support innovative industrial projects. The fund provides equity investments ranging from USD 5 million to USD 163 million. In 2023, it invested in an EV battery maker (Verkor, through a €650 millions euros investment, in addition to a €600 million support from the European Investment Bank) .
