European grant program funded by the liquidated assets of the European Coal and Steel Community

The European Commission has an earmarked annual budget for innovation projects that derives from the liquidated assets of its predecessor European Coal and Steel Community. In 2023, for example, a project in Poland was funded to demonstrate methane emission reductions in coal mining.
