Canada's Global Innovation Clusters initiative aims to foster collaboration among companies, academic institutions, and non-profits to drive innovation and create global impacts. With an investment of nearly $2 billion, including $750 million allocated over five years as part of Budget 2022, the initiative aims to strengthen innovation ecosystems and enhance Canada's position in global markets. The Clusters focus on promoting investment in innovation, expanding national and global presence, and supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. It includes clusters on advanced manufacturing and ocean energy include funding to support training, collaboration and the development of tools and test beds.
