Energy performance contracting (EPC) - public sector

EPC is a business model for ensuring the modernization of buildings or energy facilities, which allows the use of future energy savings and thus energy costs, including operating costs, to repay investment costs related to the modernization and renovation of a public building. Another option is the renovation of public lighting. The underlying legislation is Act No. 321/2014 Coll. on Energy Efficiency and Decree of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic No. 99/2015 Coll., which establishes the details of the provision of supporting energy services and guaranteed energy services
