National electricity system research

The National Electricity System Research (RdS) was conceived with the aim of promoting research and development activities in the electricity sector and improving its cost-effectiveness, safety and environmental compatibility.

Decree no. 139 of 12 April 2024 reforms the management mechanisms of System Research in the electricity sector and applies to the activities relating to the 2025-2027 Three-Year Plan and to those of subsequent Plans. For the activities relating to the previous three-year plans, the Decree of 16 April 2018 applies.

The current decree defines the new methods for the selection and financing of research projects to be admitted to the allocation of the funds referred to in Article 11 (Research Fund), paragraph 1, of the Decree of 26 January 2000 and the methods for verifying the progress of the activities and the results achieved.
