Electric charging facilitation

Resolution 541/2020/R/EEL of ARERA describes the general terms of this innovative experiment, the operational management of which has been entrusted to the Energy Services Manager (GSE).
From 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2027, it is possible to charge your electric vehicle with a power of approximately 6 kW available, at night, on Sundays and on other holidays, without having to request an increase in power from your electricity supplier, and therefore without having to bear additional fixed costs due to the increase in power.
The aim of the experiment is to promote the "smart" charging of electric vehicles in a way that is compatible with the characteristics of existing electricity networks, exploiting the potential offered by electronic meters and the most advanced charging devices, which are able to regulate the charging speed based on commands provided by external actors (for example by aggregators or by the local distributor, subject to the customer's authorization), or automatically.
