Incentive for non-photovoltaic renewable electricity sources

Through the decree of 23/6/2016, plants are incentivised based on the energy fed into the grid: those up to 1 MW with all-inclusive tariffs; those over 1 MW with an incentive equal to the difference between a reference tariff and the hourly zonal price of energy. Depending on the power of the plants, access to incentives is subject to the plants being registered in registers or participating in competitive auctions, while in the case of smaller plants access is direct. The competitive procedures (auctions, registers) are carried out in three different sessions, making approximately 5.4 GW of power available, of which 2.5 GW in auctions.
