Development of LNG in maritime transport and port services

The measure aims to develop and promote the use of LNG for maritime and inland navigation and for port services. Among the various actions, it is expected: the issuing of tax relief rules for the construction of LNG depots and/or distributors in ports; the definition of suitable port tariffs to facilitate the use of LNG-powered maritime vehicles; agreeing with the EU on forms of financing aimed at the construction of LNG depots and vehicles in line with EU policies; incentives for LNG shipbuilding; removal of barriers, including authorizations, to the installation of infrastructure for the supply of LNG on the road network and within ports; facilitation of the supply phase by promoting the construction of small-scale coastal depots.
