National Infrastructure Plan for Electric Vehicle Charging

The PNIRE (National Plan for Electric Charging Infrastructure) defines the guidelines to ensure the unitary development of the charging service for electric vehicles in the national territory.
Provided for by Law 134/2012, the Plan provides for the establishment of a vehicle charging service, the introduction of procedures for managing the charging service, the introduction of incentives for the modernization of the systems, the implementation of integrated programs for the technological adaptation of existing buildings, the promotion of technological research aimed at the creation of infrastructure networks for charging.
