Biofuel quota (Law No. 3054/2002)

Petrol and diesel suppliers in Greece are required by law to mix a specific percentage of biofuels into the fuel they sell. This required percentage, called a "quota", is set out in a plan that the government updates annually. It's important to mention that there are no fuel producers or distributors based on the islands, whether connected to the mainland grid or not; they all operate on the mainland.
