Adaptation Fund

The Fondo Adaptación in Colombia was established by Decree 4819 on December 29, 2010, in response to the severe impacts of the La Niña weather phenomenon. Its main purpose is to recover, rebuild, and improve infrastructure and communities affected by natural disasters, particularly in sectors like housing, education, health, transport, and agriculture.
