Scheme to Promote Manufacturing of Electric Passenger Cars

The scheme encourages companies to manufacture electric cars in India by allowing them to import some vehicles components with lower tariffs. However, to get this benefit, companies must build factories in India and make sure that part of the value of the vehicles comes from Indian-made components.
