National infrastructure for storage of renewable energy (RESTORE)

The RESTORE program by Bulgaria's Ministry of Energy shall subsidise battery storage projects to boost renewable energy integration, offering up to 50% co-financing. A total of BGN 1.15 billion is available, with individual projects eligible for up to BGN 148 million. Funded battery facilities must provide at least 3000 MWh capacity and be operational by March 2026.
