Subsidy programme for electrolysis

Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy launched a €110 million call for projects to boost domestic renewable hydrogen production as part of its energy transition strategy.

The initiative offers:

• Investment aid covering up to 45% of eligible CAPEX;
• Operational aid capped at €7/kg of hydrogen, with a €3/kg bonus for additional renewable energy capacity installed under the scheme.

The goal is to support the installation of approximately 12 MW of electrolysis capacity.
 National aid is capped at €30 million per project and can be combined with EU funding.
