Plan for the Promotion of Electromobility in Cyprus

Source: International Energy Agency
Last updated: 02 April 2026

Cyprus’ national electromobility scheme provides financial incentives for the purchase of zero-emission vehicles, including battery electric cars, commercial vehicles, and taxis. The programme is implemented through successive calls (latest phases in 2024-2025) and is co-financed by the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility. Subsidies reach up to €9,000 for private EVs, €15,000 for light commercial vehicles, and €20,000 for taxis and vulnerable groups, with additional support for scrapping old vehicles.
