Energy performance of building regulations

The scope of these regulations is to transpose Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the energy performance of buildings and to give effect to its provisions. These regulations establish a framework for calculating energy performance, set minimum energy performance requirements for new and existing buildings, aim to increase the number of nearly zero-energy buildings, mandate the energy certification of buildings (EPCs), and require the regular inspection of heating and air-conditioning systems.
