Lower cost of consumer electricity bills

The Norwegian government introduced an optional state-funded fixed electricity price scheme (“Norgespris”) for households, set at NOK 0.4/kWh excluding VAT from 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2026. Consumers can choose between the fixed price and existing support schemes. The policy aims to stabilise household electricity costs amid price volatility. The scheme is complemented by broader electricity subsidies and tax reductions under the 2026 State Budget, with total support exceeding NOK 11.5 billion.
