Law No. Zru-987 on the ownership and disposal of subsoil resources, as well as the use and protection of subsoil resources

The Law sets the regulatory framework for oil and gas extraction in the country. Article 6 declares state-owned property for subsoil and all minerals. The exploitation of these minerals necessitates a permit for the extraction of hydrocarbons, that shall be issued for a period of up to twenty-five consecutive years.
