The Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan 2030 from Italy focuses over five main areas: decarbonization, energy efficiency and security, internal energy market development, research, innovation, and competitiveness. The plan targets a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, a 30% increase in energy efficiency, and achieving 72% of electricity consumption from renewable sources by 2030. 

It also aims to enhance industrial competitiveness through research and innovation programs, including participation in European initiatives and Horizon Europe. The plan also encompasses circular economy strategies, support for biorefinery development, and measures for energy-intensive enterprises to facilitate the green transition.
