Law No. 24/2023 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable energy sources

The law aims to:

• Increase renewable energy use to 54.4% of gross final consumption by 2030
• Reduce fossil fuel imports and greenhouse gas emissions
• Promote renewable energy market development and regional integration
• Diversify energy sources and improve energy security
• Support rural and isolated areas' energy supply

The law establishes a framework for support schemes, grid access, certification, and introduces concepts like renewable energy communities and demonstration projects.
