Decree No. 2014-928 of August 19, 2014 relating to waste electrical and electronic equipment and used electrical and electronic equipment

The decree amended the Environmental Code on the issue of electrical and electronic equipment waste. It set up (from 2019) a minimum annual national collection target of 65% of the average weight of electrical and electronic equipment placed on the French market over the previous three years, or 85% of waste electrical and electronic equipment produced, by weight. 

Decree No. 2020-1725 of December 29, 2020 (containing various adaptation provisions relating to extended producer responsibility) further clarified that this collection target was set for producers or their associated eco-organizations responsible for collection of waste.
