GB 19577-2015: Minimum Energy Performance Standards for water chillers

MEPS for electric water chiller with vapor compression cycle. Energy performance, here indicated through Integrated Part Load Value (IPLV) for different capacity ranges are:


 


air-cooled or evaporating cooled



  • CC = 50 kW: COP 2.50, IPLV 2.80;  

  • CC  > 50 kW: COP 2.70, IPLV 2.90; water-cooled:  


 


water-cooled



  • CC = 528 kW: COP 4.20, IPLV 5.00;  

  •  528 kW < CC = 1163 kW: COP4.70, IPLV 5.50;

  •  CC > 1163 kW: COP 5.20, IPLV 5.90


 


IPLV = Integrated Part Load Value


CC = Cooling capacity


COP= Coefficient of Performance
