GB 21454-2021 standard on minimum allowable values of the energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for multi-connected air-condition (heat pump) units

The standard sets updated minimum energy performance standards for central air conditioning, with revised grades comparable to Japan or US standards.
In January 2024, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) revised the MEPS, expanding their coverage and setting higher 'Energy Saving' and 'Advanced' levels of equipment across 43 products, 8 of which are cooling products.
