Renewable Gas Auction

In May 2024, the Portuguese government launched an auction for the centralized purchase of clean hydrogen and biomethane produced by electrolysis of water using  electricity from renewable energy sources. It will be composed of two parcels: 150 GWh/year of biomethane; and 120 GWh/year of hydrogen.
The results of the competitive procedure were published in February 2025.
