Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Government support for the construction of an electric vehicle battery production plant

The German government is providing financial support for the installation of a battery cell gigafactory in Heide. 

A EUR 902 million State aid, to be provided in the form of grants and loan guarantee, was approved in January 2024 by the European Commission under the State aid Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework.
