GX: Green Transformation Policy: Carbon Levy

Through its GX (Green Transformation) Basic Policy, Japan aims to introduce a carbon levy on fossil fuel imports on power, gas and oil companies. 
The introduction of this levy will start in 2028, along with a mandatory national ETS.
