Action plan for large-scale equipments renewal and trade-in of consumer goods

The State Council issued the Action plan for large-scale equipments renewal and trade-in of consumer goods, stating that by 2027, 

• continuously enhance the utilisation technology of waste non-ferrous metals,
• strengthen research and application of extraction technologies for rare and precious metals,
• timely refine import standards and policies concerning retired power batteries, recycled materials, and other related aspects,
• the amount of scrapped cars recycled will be nearly doubled compared to 2023, 
• the volume of used car transactions will be increased by 45% compared to 2023, and
• there will be more than 30% growth in the amount of recycled household appliances, further enhancing the proportion of recycled materials.
