The CHIPS Act - Division A (CHIPS Act of 2022)

The CHIPS Act of 2022 is part of the CHIPS and Science Act (also known as CHIPS or CHIPS+) which provides incentives for domestic semiconductor manufacturing projects and related R&D activities. Government funding is provided through different grant streams and a manufacturing tax credit, including :

• The International Technology Security and Innovation Fund provides funding for initiatives seeking to establish coordination with foreign government partners to create semiconductor and other supply chains
• The Workforce and Education Fund supports the training of highly-skilled semiconductor specialists
