The  Kenya National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy sets targets and policy to foster energy efficiency across all sectors of the economy. 
Among them, it includes to improve the average fuel consumption of light-duty vehicles to 6.5 L/100km and average CO2 emissions target of 160g/km by 2025.
