Export Benchmark Prices for Mining Products Subject to Export Duty

To regulate the taxable value of mining products subject to export duties, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade issued benchmark prices under Ministerial Decision No. 968/2024 on 30 January 2024. The regulation applies to exporters of specific mining products subject to export duty. The regulation sets monthly benchmark prices (Harga Patokan Ekspor, HPE) used for customs valuation and duty calculation.

The products subject to this regulation are as follows:

• Products of copper concentrate content (Cu) 15-33% with variations in gold content (Au) 0-50 ppm in USE/WE units
• Products of laterite iron concentrate (gutite, hematite, magnetite) Fe with levels of 50-51% and levels (Al2O3+SiO2) ≥ 10%
• Products of lead concentrate with lead content of 56-86%
• Products of zinc concentrate with zinc content of 51-67%

Benchmarks are updated monthly and published by the Ministry of Trade.
