Electricity subsidy/price cap

On October 6, 2023, the Thai government, through the Ministry of Energy, announced a policy to cap electricity price from September to December 2023 . 

The policy targets two main groups: households using up to 150 units of electricity (13 million users or 56% of total) and those using 151-300 units (5 million users or 22% of total).
