Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan for Austria - coal phase-out

Austria closed in 2020 the Mellach district heating power plant, which was the last coal power plant in operation in the country.
This coal phase-out stems from the broader objective of the government to reach 100% low-carbon electricity by 2030, quoted in its last National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP).
