Conference on Critical Materials and Minerals (CCMM)

The Conference on Critical Materials and Minerals (CCMM) is an inter-governmental forum that convenes regularly to exchange information on policies governing critical materials, technical R&D collaboration, and related efforts. The CCMM commenced in 2011 in response to circumstances such as the soaring prices for some critical materials, especially rare earth elements, seen since 2010. It has been held regularly, with one particular aim being to exchange information on policies governing critical materials, R&D, and other efforts, under a framework of multilateral cooperation. CCMM members include Australia, Japan, the US, EU and Canada.
