Electricity subsidies

In an effort to shield domestic consumers from the effects of the global energy crisis, the government of Oman  implemented a temporary 15% increase in electricity subsidies from May to August 2022. 
The gradual scheme phase out was postponed in summer 2022. The measure has been extended for 2023.
