Law of Republic of Uzbekistan of 15.03.2021 №ZRU-678 „About environmental audit”

 The law regulates relations in the field of environmental audit. The main objectives of this legislation are the assessment of the impact of the activities of the subject of environmental audit on the state of the environment; assessment of the effectiveness of environmental measures implemented by the subject of environmental audit. 

Environmental audit does not replace environmental control. Environmental audit can be carried out in relation to all activities of the subject of environmental audit in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources (Art. 7).  

Environmental audit can be carried out in a voluntary or mandatory form (Art. 8).

The register of environmental audit organizations includes a list of environmental audit organizations and is posted on the official website of the State Committee for Ecology. The register of environmental auditors includes a list of environmental auditors with a qualification environmental auditor certificate and is posted on the official website of the State Committee for Ecology (Art. 19).
