Regulation No.23/2012 on Emission Quality Standard for New Vehicle L3 Category

The regulation sets out standards for pollutant emissions standards (CO, HC, and NOx), applying to motorcycles with 50 cc or above.

 

For motorcycles < 150 cc (Test Method ECE R40, UDC Mode, cold start):

CO: 2.0 gram/km

HC: 0.8 gram/km

NOx: 0.15 gram/km

 

For motorcycles >= 150 cc (Test Method ECE R40, UDC+EUDC mode, cold start):

CO: 2.0 gram/km

HC: 0.3 gram/km

NOx: 0.15 gram/km
