In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and economic crisis, the government of Latvia unveileld their recovery and resilience plan, aiming for a long term and green recovery.

Two components relate to the energy sector:

- Component 1.1: Reducing emissions from the transport sector (EUR 295 million)

- Component 1.2: Improving energy efficiency (EUR 248 million)
