National Energy Efficiency Fund
The Fund is aimed to promote, on the basis of periodically established objectives and priorities, the financing of interventions necessary to achieve national energy efficiency objectives, promoting the involvement of financial institutions and private investors on the basis of adequate risk sharing. The following initiatives can be financed: the reduction of energy consumption in industrial processes, the creation and/or implementation of district heating and district cooling networks and systems, the efficiency of public services and infrastructures, including public lighting.
The Fund has EUR 310 million allocated, of which 30% in the form of guarantees and 70% in the form of subsidised loans.
