Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Room Air Conditioners 2023

The US Department Of Energy updated energy efficiency standards for room air conditioners and portable air cleaners in 2023. 
The new rules were initially to come into effect in 2024 but were delayed with final rules 2025-05-20.
