Global Clean Energy Action Forum

On 21-23 September, the US government will host the first-ever Global Clean Energy Action Forum, a joint convening of the 13th Clean Energy Ministerial and the 7th Mission Innovation ministerial. Governments, international organizations, the private sector, academia, innovators, civil society, and early career researchers and policymakers will join together in a three-day event that features a high-level plenary, topical roundtables with energy and science ministers from 31 countries, CEOs and experts, side events, technology demonstrations, and other activities.

The energy sector is responsible for almost three-quarters of greenhouse gas emissions, but is also inseparable from the livelihoods and aspirations of people. The IEA is at the heart of the global dialogue on energy, providing stakeholders with authoritative analysis, data, policy advice and real-world solutions to reach a secure, equitable and sustainable energy future.

The IEA is very active in supporting the preparations of the GCEAF and many of the events that will take place in Pittsburgh. Planned IEA releases for the GCEAF include the Global Hydrogen Review 2022, the Tracking Clean Energy Progress report, the Cost of Capital Observatory and the Skills Development for Clean Energy Transition report.
