The 'Share in cumulative emissions reductions total power sector' series shows the share of CCUS in coal, gas and biomass in the total power sector’s cumulative emission reductions, while the 'Share in cumulative emissions reductions subsector' series shows the share of CCUS of the heavy industry and aviation subsectors in its own subsector, for example the share of CCUS in cement in total cumulative emission reductions of the cement sector. Synthetic hydrocarbon fuels are shown only for aviation as the vast majority of the fuels is used in this sector. The contribution of CCUS to overall emission reductions is not shown for hydrogen production or other fuel transformation as the emission reductions from CCUS are shared with other sectors, such as industry, transport, buildings and power.
