2023 values indicate an estimated total. Clean energy sector includes low-emissions fuel sources, low-emissions power generation, power grids and battery storage, end-use efficiency, critical minerals extraction, and manufacturing of electric vehicles and their batteries. Fossil fuel sector includes supply of oil, gas, and coal, as well as unabated fossil fuel-fired power generation and internal combustion engine vehicle manufacturing.
