Energy sector emissions are for 2020 and based on the latest estimates from the Methane Tracker and the World Energy Outlook. Non-energy sector emissions are taken from the Global Methane Budget for the year 2017, with natural sources relying on top-down median estimates, and other anthropogenic sources relying on bottom-up median estimates.
