Important message for WDS users

The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Notes

One tonne of methane is considered to be equivalent to 30 tonnes CO2 based on the 100-year global warming potential (IPCC, 2021). Abandoned oil and gas wells here are included in the upstream segment.
