This analysis considers electricity prices of industries with greater than 150 GWh of annual electricity consumption for European countries, based on Eurostat data. Electricity price compensation is included for countries that participate in EU-ETS. For the calculation of the maximum possible state aid for electricity price compensation in the European Union, the analysis assumes that the specific product has an electricity consumption benchmark of 0.8 and that the company in question receives the maximum possible state aid once this benchmark is incorporated into the maximum aid calculation. The final electricity price for the United States is based off the final electricity for industry in Texas. The prices for the United States and China are indicative of the average reported prices, individual industries depending on their energy consumption levels and where they are located can face different prices.
