BEV = battery electric vehicle; PHEV = plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. “GEF” refers to the Global Environment Facility’s Global E-Mobility Programme, which was launched in 2019 and supports 27 (https://www.thegef.org/newsroom/press-releases/un-led-partnership-accelerate-electric-mobility-shift-27-countries) in their shift to electromobility. . In Africa, GEF includes Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Madagascar, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo and Tunisia. In Asia, GEF includes Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Philippines and Sri Lanka, but India and Indonesia are shown separately.
